Overall objective of the project is to foster networking and strengthen the civil society organizations (CSO) in the sector of local/regional economic development (L/RED) in B&H, and ensure their long-term cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience, and better cooperation with governments at all levels.

Specific objective is to establish an efficient and functional coalition of the NGOs, which will
become an equal participant in the process of L/RED in our country through development of
capacities and inclusion and coalition of at least 10 NGOs and establishment of dialogue with
relevant governmental representatives at all levels.

Results:

Developed capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs)
Minimum 5 positive practices exchanged, which resulted in creation of 5 development projects for implementation in minimum 5 local communities
Coalition of CSOs affected the creation of a minimum of 10 local/regional development policies/measures for creation of better business environment and more effective development of SMEs
Improvement of cooperation between non-governmental, governmental and private sector

PLOD Centre is in charge of:

establishment of functional coalition/network of CSOs in the area of L/RED
building and strengthening of coalition members’ capacities
exchange of positive practices, projects, know how achievements etc. among members and local communities
participation in the process of creation of L/RED policies and measures on local/cantonal/entity and state level
visibility of the project
