Specific objective is to jointly develop and promote Una Spring in Croatia and Una Waterfalls and old town of Ostrovica in Martin Brod area in Bosnia and Herzegovina as parts of the same environment-integrated joint tourism product through cross-border collaboration and pooling of experience between all the stakeholders in the cross-border region of the upper course of Una River.

Results:

• Improved cross-border tourism policy and menagement through increased cooperation and coordination of activities and creation of joint cross-border  strategy development of tourism
• Tourist infrastructure on locations, necessary for the development of the joint tourism product „Una. Spring of Life“, built and improved (project documentation created for reconstruction of old town Ostrovica in Kulen Vakuf and for building/improvement of bridges and viewpoints in Martin Brod)
• tourist signalization and informational panels created (5 multi-lingual informational panels and 40 small signs)
• Human capacities in in tourism sector strengthened in the cross-border region and awareness of conditions for living and working in or near protected natural values  (2 workshops held for hte target groups „Aspects, importance and implementation of ecological principles in tourism“ and „How to develop a rural tourism offer)
• Increased public awareness regarding the newly developed joint tourism product  „Una. Spring of Life“

PLOD Center is in charge of:

• managing of project
• organization of regular partnership meetings
• drafting of “Strategy  development of tourism in cross-border region of the upper course of Una river”
• preparation of ToR for the consultant to be hired
• facilitating the process of creation and work of workgroups
• organisation of educational workshops.
