ROUND TABLE “LESS CORRUPTION, MORE JOBS – IMPORTANCE OF CIVIC ACTIVISM”, JUNE 4, 2012 IN CAZIN

PLOD Center Bihać organizes a round table “Less Corruption, More Jobs – importance of civic activism” as the one of the activities of the project “Less Corruption, More Jobs”.

Keynote speaker and moderator of the roundtable, which will be held at the Cultural Center in Cazin on June 4, 2012 starting at 11:00 hrs is Dr. Genc Trnavci, a professor at the Law Faculty in Bihać.

Project “Less Corruption, More Jobs” is being implemented by: Independent Bureau for Development Gradačac (NBR), Association for Entrepreneurship and Business LINK Mostar and Center for Promotion of Local Development PLOD Bihać. Overall objective of the Project is to speed up reform of key government institutions (their programs, projects and procedures) and improve their work by active involvement and participation of non-governmental organizations. Faster reform will lead to decrease of corruption. The project is implemented in the period February 2011-October 2012.

The goal of the roundtable is to present the results of the activities of the Project, create additional pressure to the public, educate citizens and associations of employers, businessmen and craftsmen, chambers and others in order for them to get more actively involved in the advocacy process. The round table should enable easier identification of possible sources of corruption that occur in the public sector / public funds.
